Zoho

The New Zoho Mail is a collaborative business communication platform for the modern workforce.

We use Zoho mail server for free. It lets us to have 10 accounts and 5G spaces.

We have 3 accounts for echomybiz.com, echomybiz.ir, arpagroup.ca.

Configuration steps:

Step 1: Add/ Verify the domain or buy a domain.

Step 2: Add users and Create Email Accounts (or) Import Users

Step 3: Configure the MX records of your domain to point to Zoho Mail Servers, to start receiving emails lto your domain accounts in Zoho.

Step 4: Once you start receiving emails, perform Email Migration for rest of the users.

Step 1: Verify the domain

Domain Verification is an essential step to ensure that the domain you added is Valid, Not expired and the user who added the domain has the required privileges to access DNS and decide about the email service for the domain. It is a mandatory step to ensure that the domain is not Spoofed domain and to prevent any loss of service due to the misuse of domain names.

The steps like DNS access is needed not only to verify the domain but also to configure email delivery for the domain.

Zoho Mail provides three different verification methods for you to choose from:

**1**.

CNAME Method - Add a unique 'CNAME' record specified by us in the domain's DNS Manager.

CNAME Method for verifying the domain involves two steps. Generating the unique CNAME code in Zoho and adding the code in your DNS Manager.

Generate unique code in Zoho:

1.

Login to your Zoho Mail account as Super Admin

2.

Click Control Panel >> Domains

3.

Click the validate icon \(!\) next to the domain you added in Zoho, which has to be verified.

4.

This will launch the setup wizard with Domain Verification details.

5.

Select CNAME tab to generate the unique zb code for your

domain. Notedown (or copy) the unique zb****** code generated for your account.

6.

Once you have copied the zb code, select your domain provider from the drop down, to see the step by step instructions specific to your provider.

7.

The code generated zb***** is unique and different for each domain added in Zoho.

Adding CNAME in DNS:

1.

Log in to your account where your domain's DNS is hosted. \(Your Domain’s Administrative DNS Host\)

2.

Open your Domain Management Page to update the DNS Records \(DNS Manager or DNS Control Panel or Advanced DNS editor\).

3.

Locate the option to add CNAME records \(Generally found under DNS Records, you can also consult the help page of your registrar in case you are not clear\)

4.

In the Name/ Host/ Alias/ CNAME add the code generated in Zoho zb\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*.

5.

In the Value/ Points To/ Destination field add zmverify.zoho.com.

6.

If the TTL is editable, reduce the TTL to 300 seconds or the minimum possible value recommended by your Registrar.

Click Save or Add Record option to save the CNAME Records.

**2**.

TXT Record Method - Add a specific TXT Record, in the given format in the domain's DNS Manager

1.

Select the TXT Method tab, in the Domain Verification page.

2.

Create a TXT record in your DNS with the title as

3.

zoho-verification and the value as zmverify.zoho.com

4.

The host name should be @/ domain name for the text record you add.

5.

The value should be **zoho-verification=zb*****.zmverify.zoho.com**, where the zb code is autogenerated and available in the verification page.

6.

Once you save the TXT record, wait for some time.

Login to your Zoho Account >> Control Panel >> Domains page and Click on Verify

**3**.

HTML Method - Upload the given HTML file in the specific folder as provided in our instructions, under the root of your website.

You can also verify your domain by HTML method. In this method, you will be adding the file we provide in a specified path under your website page. When you click Verify, it will look for the particular file in your website, and verify your domain based on the file. Given below are the steps to verify a domain by the HTML method.

1.

Select the HTML Method tab, in the Domain Verification page.

2.

Download the 'verifyforzoho.html' file from the 'Click here' link in the page.

3.

The content of the file will vary for each domain and is usually a unique string of numbers.

4.

Log in to your account provided by your website hosting company.

5.

Create a folder in root called 'zohoverify'.

6.

Upload the file to ./zohoverify/verifyforzoho.html'.

7.

You should now be able to view the code, when you click the webpage link.

8.

Click on "Verify"

Step 2: Add users and Create Email Accounts

Add User Details

1.

Log in to www.zoho.com/mail as an Admin or Super Admin

2.

Click Control Panel, then select User Details

3.

Click Add User from the upper portion of the page

4.

Enter the user's first name, last name and username in the appropriate text box, then select a domain from the dropdown menu.

5.

Provide a password for the user \(8 characters minimum\). Make sure the user receives this password, as they will need it to log in to their account.

Step 3: Configure the MX records of your domain to point to Zoho Mail Servers

1.

Log into your domain registrar's web portal.

2.

Launch the DNS Manager/ Domain Management Page/ DNS Control

3.

Panel for your account, which lists all the domains you have registered.

4.

Locate the MX Records/ Email Servers/ Email Settings option (For help, consult the help pages of your provider or get support from the registrar).

5.

Remove any existing entries that you might have.

6.

Select the Add Record option.

7.

Specify the value in Name/ Host field as either @ or leave it Blank.

8.

Specify the first record's value as mx.zoho.com.

9.

Set the priority to 10 or lower as supported by your registrar.

10.

Follow the same steps to add another MX record for your domain.

11.

To ensure correct email delivery to your domain, only the MX Records provided below should be listed.

12.

If the TTL is editable, provide the lowest possible value for the changes to take effect as soon as possible.

13.

Select Save Zone File/ Save/ Add Records to save your changes.
